I received this book in my monthly Owlcrate subscription. Four Dead Queens was a debut novel by Astrid Scholte and let me tell you, it does not have a debut feel! This book had me on my toes with every turn of the page. Every chapter left me with more wonder and questions I couldn't wait to have answered. I just couldn't stand to put it down. The mystery and suspense just kept coming. One minute you think the book is going in a particular direction and the next minute it does a complete 180° turn. The main character was relatable in her sense of humor and passion for seeking the truth. And let's oh my god over that ending!!! It was not something I saw coming and was completely shocked! This is definitely a book I want to read again!
