I was so excited to read Four Dead Queens, the premise was great, and the synopses sounded so good. On top of that, it's a standalone?! Yes, please!
Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. I was so let down by this book, it had huge potential to be a really great book.
First of all, the writing just wasn't all that great. It really fell flat in majority of this book.
Secondly, the storyline and character arcs were rushed and flawed.
It got very boring, and very predictable quick. With some very twists, it helped the plot along and kept it somewhat interesting.
The most annoying thing about this book was the totally unnecessary love story. It did not need to be written in, it was stupid and took away even more from the book that I couldn't even take it seriously. She knew him all of 2 days, and she loves him? Come on. 🙄 That was the worst part of the book, and it had a lot of flaws.
