I was really, really, really enjoying this book... until I got to the end. Honestly, it ruined the whole thing for me. But more on that later. First, the good things.

The characters were great fun!! Keralie is a very skilled thief, and full of the spunk that instantly endears me to a character. I love a good strong, spunky female lead. Varin was mildly irritating but it was fun to watch him interact with Keralie.

The plot is good too, until the end. It's intriguing and it keeps you reading. I definitely didn't have a hard time finishing this book. Now, the thing that makes me actually dislike this book: the ending. No spoilers, I swear. It has the energy of "and then it was all a dream!" Which is just lazy. And, all the events that result in the ending feel incredibly improbable. Honestly, it ruined the whole book for me.

For context: I think I read this 2 years ago and I'm writing this review for points and I still remember all the things that irked me about the ending. I guess that makes it memorable, at the very least?
