Sounds Intriguing!
I quite enjoyed the First Look for “Forgive Me Not.” I liked how each chapter alternated point of view between the siblings, Violetta and Vince. With both characters being featured so heavily thus far, I’m a bit surprised both individuals are not featured on the novel’s cover. Nonetheless, the bright cover is attention grabbing and interesting.
After reading the first few pages of “Forgive Me Not,” I was struck by the emotional heaviness of this young adult novel. In the beginning of the story, we learn Violetta killed her little sister in a drunk driving incident and her family has sentenced her to complete the Trials to earn forgiveness for her actions. At this point I’m still a bit confused with regards to the Trials, but I’m sure things will become clearer as I read on. I’m excited to see what exactly these trials entail and to find out if Violetta is eventually able to gain forgiveness from her family.
