When I picked this one up, I knew it was going to be a good one. I just knew from the description that it was right up my alley and exactly what I was looking for. But I didn't anticipate it being anywhere near as good as what it ended up being. I mean... it was fabulous. The split timeline element really kept me on my toes the entire time, and the twist at the end was one that I didn't see coming. And while none of the characters were overtly likeable, I enjoyed that aspect too since it meant that I really had to unpack my feelings for each of them quite slowly, to try and empathize and even like them a little since they were so morally grey. The cover was a complete knockout as well - so eye catching it immediately pops and grabs your attention before you even have any clue what it's about. And it was always east to find around my apartment because of all its bright colors!
