I had a really hard time getting through this book. I definitely wanted to read it after hearing about all the hype, and I'm glad I read it. However, I was not a big fan of it. The plot kept alluding to this big technology thing that happened and everything was split into a time period of before the thing and after the thing. I had a hard time following what was going on because it started out with Marlow and then the story was all about Orla. I couldn't quite figure out how they connected until it was revealed at the end, and that bothered me. The plot is definitely timely for our age of social media and reality TV. However, the sci-fi like aspect of it with people having chips embedded in their skin and cars that drive themselves was a bit much for me. Like I said, I'm glad I read it, but it left me feeling very weird and unsatisfied by the ending.
