This book told two stories. The one takes place in 2016, following Orla and Floss. Orla wants to be a real writer but is stuck working at a blog. Floss just wants to be famous. So together they scheme to make both their dreams come true. And it will help shape the future of technology and social media.
The other story is twenty some years later and follows Marlow. Marlow is the daughter of Floss and her entire life is filmed for a show and social media. Slowly, she starts to realize that there may be more to the past, and her past specifically, than she originally thought.
This book winds between the stories and has women fighting for what they want. The technology pieces remind me a lot of a Black Mirror episode.
Worth the read if you want a lighthearted, female focused science fiction novel!
