This is a book that makes me pause and look at our current culture. The title says it all- how far will we go to get more Followers? At what cost? Orla and Floss meet in New York in 2015. Orla is working for Lady-ish, a website that follows celebrities and posts on social media about them. Floss is subletting Orla's apartment. Floss wants to be famous and thinks Orla can help her with her social media skills and connections.

Fast-forward to 2051 and meet Marlow who is loving in a protected community where everything and everyone is broadcast for people to watch. Technology has also advanced and is more interactive. It's a little like the Jim Carrey movie The Truman Show. Marlowe accidentally learns something about her life that send her on a journey to find out more.

It's interesting to see how the 2015 characters intersect with the 2051 characters and to see how society moved from our current state of social media overload to the future state. This book is hard to categorize- there's some science fiction, some dystopian parts, and some mystery. It also made me think about social media and how it's impacting us.
