FOLLOWERS by Megan Angelo = dystopia meets social media commentary meets deep state. back and forth between multiple years and multiple perspectives. I liked the ending a lot, and the last ~fifty pages were excellent. I felt bored for most of the middle and at no point felt attached to any of the characters. I took 5 months to finish reading FOLLOWERS. I tend not to be into dystopia or dystopian narratives. But I appreciate what the author Megan Angelo was trying to accomplish: this book’s form, plot, and message were all extremely ambitious. I think that readers who tend to like dystopia will enjoy FOLLOWERS. oh! And I loved her less than subtle jabs at the current President pages 358-359.
