I read the blurb on this book and thought it would be a cute, fun read. And when I started it, I enjoyed it, but couldn’t seem to get sucked into the story. But then a few chapters in, I was hooked. And fell in love with this story. Ava is a teenager that, due to things that have happened in her live, doesn’t believe in love, or fate. And knows that nothing could have a happy ending. But when the blessing her grandmother tries giving her on her death bed goes to someone else, she has to open her heart to someone in order to get it back, and save her grandmothers afterlife. Ava is such a great character. She’s relatable, because there are so many people who feel the same as she does about love. And she feels something when she meets Rion. But she doesn’t want to admit her feelings, even to herself. So, it was beautiful watching her open up her heart and realize her feelings. I absolutely loved this book, and these characters. And Meda was just great. So funny. I definitely recommend this book of you love a story about how twisted and unexpected fate and love can be.
