I was really looking forward to this book ever since I saw the cover! I love a good illustrated cover. I had remembered some things from the blurb but kind of went in not knowing much as I hadn't seen many reviews either.

The book is told from one point-of-view and it comes from our main character. She has some awkward encounters while trying to get her blessing back when her dead grandmother accidently gave it to someone else. I can't say that I have ever read a book with this plot before. It was very unique.

I didn't mind the characters and even liked the minor ones. It's always nice to see sisterly bonds as well. I can relate a lot with it.

Even though I did like a lot of it. I still felt that it lacked for some reason. I wasn't entirely invested but it wasn't too the point where I wouldn't want to listen to it so I would say that is good, lol.

I'm looking forward to seeing what else this author writes.
