I have a few thoughts on this book. I'll start with the good. First off I like the cover a lot! It's so pretty and it really captures the eye and makes you want to pick it up. I liked Ava's relationship with her sisters, Viv and Carm. They were a good dynamic and always supportive of each other. I also thought the idea of "blessings" being gifted from one generation of women to the next was a lovely touch. It's an interesting concept and I thought it was well thought out. I will say that it was a quick read for me. Now on to the not so great... I wish Ava and Rion had better chemistry. It felt very middling, like I couldn't care where the their relationship went. It was frustrating because I don't know if we got to know either character as well as we should have. Or if they really got to know each other. I wish we also had been experiencing more of the story. It felt like we were being told about rather than diving into it. Instead of being apart of Ava's and Rion's conversations, we as readers, were just told that they had one and to go from there. All in all, I didn't love this story but I think it had some good qualities.
