"Meteors, stars, 8:51. Collision. And the hummingbird."
This book sent me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions! I typically avoid contemporary novels because they are not the genre I usually read, but this stole my attention. J. C. Cervantes is one of my favorite authors and I had to read it and I'm glad I did! It is about a young girl Ava who missed her blessing and has 4 weeks to get it back. This starts a chain of events that will make you laugh and cry. Both the love stories entwined with the photo and the family blessing going astray was done amazingly. I love the magical setting with Fate and having two kindly ghosts added a great plot twist and humor to the story. This also touched my heart with the family unity through trouble times. I would recommend this to anyone who loves romance with a magical element and a friends to lovers trope.
