Wow this book surprised me in the best possible way. It was adorable and full of life, family, love and a little magic.

Ava was late for her grandmothers passing and missed out on her blessing that is passed from generations to generations. She was late due to a fender bender with a mysterious boy. With the help of her sisters they try to right the blessing and of course the boy gets in the way of things!

I loved the family dynamics and themes of sisterhood that are prominent throughout this book. The romance was super sweet and was easy to cheer for. The chemistry between the two was there.

The book has a strong message of being open to new ideas, growing and “changing fate.” The second half was very strong and connected a lot of dots that maybe readers were confused about at the beginning. I would have loved for this to have been in first person POV though. Overall a great YA!
