After Daunis’s best friend is tragically killed, Daunis is approached by the FBI to help with an investigation into a new drug. Throughout the investigation, many dark secrets come to light, and Daunis realizes maybe the FBI investigation won’t help her community as much as she originally thought.
This book was amazing! It captivated me the whole time. The plot, the characters, and the writing were all great. I hope the author releases many more books because I could not get enough. This novel was so layered, and there was not a point during which only one thing was going on/being dealt with. Although that element is confusing in some works, it made this one perfect.
I recommend this to everyone, as long as you’re okay with the TWs.
