I loved this book! I just loved the way the author wove together the culture and the mystery. I also thought the author did a great job portraying Daunis’ struggle with trying to fit into two different cultures. I was rooting for Daunis and my heart broke for her community.
It was a little slow to start, but I’m glad I stuck with it because I was hooked. A fantastic debut. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
📚Read this if you enjoyed Winter Counts (it’s less gritty than that one because this is YA) or if you enjoy YA thrillers.
