Firekeeper's Daughter is at the top of my Fiction Reads of 2021 list! This will be a book I recommend to everyone looking for a good book. I absolutely loved it.
This book had it all - mystery, romance, teen angst, drama, and comedy. I really enjoyed the plot, and the character development was fantastic. I especially enjoyed getting to learn about the main characters Native culture -- something that is very under represented in contemporary fiction.
I was originally hesitant to read the book. Though I really like the cover (it's gorgeous!!), I incorrectly thought it would be a fantasy book. But my Facebook Book Club picked this book as our April read, and I am so glad I was able to read this book!
If you are a fan of YA fiction, in particular mysteries, I think you will thoroughly enjoy this novel. The author does a fantastic job with telling the story in a way that keeps readers engaged. I could not put this book down!
