I really enjoyed this book. Daunis was a relatable character. I was immediately drawn into her story and cared about what was going to happen to her. There was also a vibrant cast of supporting characters and some wonderful cultural elements. The book was well written and it was also evident that the author had done a lot of research. I really liked the Nancy Drew vibes and I enjoyed the interaction between Daunis and the undercover agent. I also appreciated the way Daunis chose not to be solely focused on finding a boyfriend, but was more focused on making plans for college and discovering who she was on her own. The book was well-paced and kept me wanting to read to find out what exactly was going on. It was great to read this well written book by an indigenous author. Fans of Nancy Drew and the classic girl detective story will enjoy this one.
