I don't often read mystery/thriller books (and by often, I mean basically never), but I saw all the reviews this was getting and for some reason it just sounded really good and like something I'd enjoy, and it definitely was! The Firekeeper's Daughter was such an amazing book. The characters were fleshed out really well, I really enjoyed getting to meet everyone in Daunis' life. The mystery was so twisty turny and I had a lot of fun unraveling it with Daunis. I really felt like I was with her every step of the way. One of my favorite parts about this, is the way the author talks about and deals with grief. It really resonated with me in a way I haven't read before. If you haven't checked Firekeeper's Daughter out yet, definitely do!

My favorite quote!
"Grief is a cruel sneaky bastard. You love a person and then they're gone. Past tense. You forget about them for an hour, a day, a week. How is that even possible? It happens because memories are fickle; they can fade."
