I don't have enough words for this book. I don't even know where to start. The story was epic, the political machinations were such a thrill to read, the characters were flawed and imperfect and yet you couldn't help but root for them. It's one of those books that I KNEW was going to rip my heart out and yet I was there for it. I cannot wait until the second one. I almost immediately started this one over as soon as I was done to see what I caught the second time.⠀
Even now, a few days after finishing it, I'm just not even sure what I want to read after this book. My mind is firmly planted in the Fireborne world and I want more! I think it will be very interesting to see who becomes the true villain in this series. I have ideas, but no spoilers here ;)
