Dragonriders, political rebellion, long buried secrets and a deep and complicated friendship are at the core of this story. Honestly, who could resist that?
I couldn’t have loved this book more! Fireborne has fantastic world building with a complex and detailed history. The characters were well developed and I loved both Lee and Annie. Lee appears to have everything together with a need to atone for the past but it’s not as simple as it seems when he’s faced with a family member he’d once thought dead. Then Annie’s determination to prove to herself and everyone around her that she can be the leader that the dragonriders need even if it means pushing herself out of her comfort zone. If they weren’t already interesting individually the story just gets better when these two characters are together. This plot was fast paced and full of twists that kept me guessing until the very end.
