At the moment I am taking an English class that requires us to read a book around three hundred pages every week from now until the end of the semester, so it has been really hard to pick up anything for my own reading enjoyment. That being said, I am going to put this down for now. I need something lighter. The first 75 pages of this book are pretty good though. It reminds me of a mix between Harry Potter and the Divergent books. The next time I am in the mood for YA fantasy I will definitely be trying it again. The only complaint I have so far is that it reads very much like a second book in a series. There isn't a ton of character or world development which was kind of confusing. The two POVs don't read very different either, so I had to keep going back to see which character's viewpoint I was reading from.
