Enjoyed for the most part
FIREBORNE follows the journey of Annie and Lee as they are dragonriders.
The fantasy world created by Rosaria is great - the dragons' concept make the plot compelling and alluring, besides, the protagonists are captivating. Having said that, I found quite hard to connect with the secondary characters (the names didn't help) and I was expecting more focus on the dragons. There were lots of intense political intrigue and the story was mainly plot-driven.
The writing is engaging. Despite the creative world, I wanted more action and fast-paced scenes rather than some slow burn parts. The story was all over the place and occasionally I lost interest. I am not sure if I will keep going with this series - hopefully the sequels will have more dragon's development.
