I enjoyed a lot of this book, I liked the dual perspective and the writing was good. I liked the story a lot too and the themes of loyalty and family and rising above the limits other people place on you. The cover is also quite lovely and very appealing. The things I didn't like as much were the pacing and the sometimes repetitive nature of the writing. I felt like the story dragged a little here and there and I found myself losing interest sometimes. I also kept seeing the same kind of thing repeating over and over until the issues were finally addressed later. Overall, I did enjoy this book and it's nod to the classics, but for me the pacing brought me out of the story a few times which made it not as endearing as I wanted it to be.
