Have you ever just picked up a book that you couldn't put down until you were finished and gasping for air? This book was like that. I finished it, my jaw dropping, stunned. This book made me question everything but most importantly, it calls into question: is blood really thicker than water? So much to think about its mind boggling! I immediately fell in love with all of this book, the characters, the setting. it's hard to believe that this is a debut novel because of the flow and descriptions. I was drawn into this world of unorthodox families and dragons and I just couldn't find my way back to reality. Needless to say, I think I've found another author I will no doubt be following to see what's next.
