Honestly, we need more books with dragons in it. I'd been interested in Fireborne for a while; after reading this excerpt I'm sure its going to be an exciting story.
The story here has me very intrigued, and the world building is very cool. I like the characters as well, though I feel like the introduction to most of the side characters could have been executed better. I also like the dual perspective.
All in all, I like it a lot and am looking forward to getting to read Fireborne at some point in the future.
