This is a young adult novel. The first chapter is gripping. A child is forgotten after his father has been killed in a deadly coup. It then flashforwards to the boy and his training as a dragon rider. We meet a young girl and her passion is also dragon riding. It sounds like an interesting tale with some young love involved.
