She did so well with describing the scene around her, the smells, sound, feelings. I cook myself and so I was easily able to follow along with the beautifully detailed description of events. Like the spits of oil that burns your skin when you have the pan to high when cooking bacon. But her story in inspiring. To be honest I might resent cooking if I had a father like her, but I also understand even though at times you might hate it, its also a way to unwind and you love it none the less. I can tell this story will be very inspirational, hearing all the struggles she had gone through and yet she has managed to bring herself back to a promising fulfilling career. I truly love the way she writes, it’s so easy to follow, and soothing to read.
I also think the cover is breathtaking. I actually have seen this book before and the first thing I was drawn to was the cover. It is so well designed having the dark background and the contrast with the bright flowers. It’s also has very clean lines and the way it is designed kind of reminds me of a cookbook, which is very fitting.
