Just from the title of this book, I was expecting it to be a piece of historical fiction, specifically set in WWII. I was quite surprised to learn that it was, in fact, a cooking memoir, which I wouldn’t have guessed from the cover or title. All in all, this book might interest me depending on the style of narrative voice.
