I love reading historical fiction to get a better understanding of history. But this story is great because it gives me a better understanding of what's happening in other parts of the world today. But rather than being a dry news story, we see the world through the eyes of two individuals: a zookeeper and a teenager.
The story is well written and interesting. I look forward to seeing how these characters are related and where the story is headed.
