Looks like a fascinating account of a zoo :)
Father of Lions didn't look like much to me based on the cover. I've been used to the recent trend of brightly-colored illustrated covers for novels. However, when I perused the first look of the book, it looks remarkably well-written and more like a novel than non-fiction. The paragraphs are short, there is plenty of dialogue, and the language is not cumbersome and prone to unnecessary tangents. I am not generally a fan of non-fiction, however I am fascinated by accounts of zoos, so I very well may read this when it comes out! A cantankerous and defensive man overseeing his animals, the resurrection of a zoo, sprinkled with information of the culture and animals, sounds like it will make a great book.
