Interesting but the concept is overplayed
Here is the thing, the story is partially true and based on that I cannot fully say that the book's themes are overplayed.
What I can say is that the approach to this book makes everything very predictable. It reminded me a lot of the story pacing for Lifetime movies to be honest and this will not be a bad thing for everyone. I just wish that the writer had flexed their creative muscles more and gave the readers something more to chew on than a predictable plot around an otherwise interesting story.
