We tend to think of things as linear - one way or another. But this book is showing us the beauty in tragic situations. How people remain defiant, in the most wonderful of ways. In the most human of ways. A story of a man, keeping alive a zoo during ISIS regime is not just awe inspiring, it is the core of who humanity is. Keeping the faith that humans are good, and these things are necessary to keep that hope alive. I am looking forward to reading this novel.
