I was so excited to read this book when it first got to my door step. The fairy tale retelling was so much fun. It has references to many fairytales that you read as a child. And the ROMANCE! There was so much tension between Ransom and Lucky. I found myself at the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Saranna DeWylde added so many twists and turns to the story.

I adored the fairy godmothers. Petunia, Bluebonnet, and Jonquil are the perfect combination of loving and mischevious. They encourage Ransom and Lucky to live their happily ever after despite all the bad luck that follows Lucky.

There were parts that did not seem to be fully developed. Some of the dialogue came off as unrealistic and juvenile. Sometimes the point was clear but the presentation was very shaky. While the real fairy tale characters was a cute and fun idea, one thing I did not like was that Lucky's mother was some sort of other wordly creature. That seemed like too much of stretch.

I still loved this book. The romance and that fairy tales were irresistable and you are left with a warm, happy, fuzzy feeling when you finish reading this book.
