Thank you to @netgalley and @kensingtonbooks for the eARC to review! Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is a romance novel led by three meddling godmother’s in Ever After, Missouri. This is definitely a twist on happily ever after, magic and some beloved fairy tale characters.

While I definitely enjoyed the concept and the two main characters, this book missed the mark for me. There is so much emphasis on “The Incident” that gives one of the main characters the nickname: The Boy that Missed - to the point where he apparently went viral for it? HOWEVER, the incident didn’t even seem like that big of a deal, is definitely something that accidentally happens during sex sometimes, is not something a random young man would become viral over, and was never fully explained/resolved, but the MC felt all this lingering shame over it.

Overall, it was a cute concept and story, but some of the plot points were way underdeveloped or completely unnecessary. This is the first in a series, but while I did enjoy my time reading it, I probably won’t be running to grab the second when it is released.
