This was sadly a book that I did not finish. I was highly anticipating this romance based on the interesting plot and the cute cover. The plot about a town called Ever After, the fairy tale elements, and the fake romance were all something I wanted to read about. I rarely dnf books but over the last few years I have started to put down any novel that I am not enjoying or do not wish to read anymore. And this was one of them.
I picked up the NetGalley advanced reader copy when this went up for raffle on bookishfirst to check it out. I did not connect with the writing style at all and I could tell that fact just after a few chapters. I felt that the novel was trying too hard and I found myself unable to connect with it at all.
I hope those who picked this one up via netgalley or through bookishfirst enjoyed it more than I did. I am sad that it was not for me and hope I like the next book that bookishfirst recommends.
