This rom-com is light and sweet and romantic and just the right amount of magical.
DeWylde did a great job of incorporating all the fairytale elements in such a way that they're original yet recognizable, plus everything plays into the pacing and expanding of the plot in such a way that it feels perfectly natural for things to be happening. You totally believe that the town is built to look like a fairytale town and that magic is as real there as anything else.
Both Lucky and Ransom are characters whose stories you can get behind, and they're surrounded by interesting side characters with tales of their own. This is a very well rounded book when it comes to characters, and it's a joy to see each of them grow and discover what their story is.
Definitely a light, fun read that I'll happily recommend to anyone looking for a bit of magic with their romance.
