Holy Fairy Dust on toast! This book is my new favorite fairytale!
Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is an adorably witty and bright book. Meddling is what Petunia, Jonquil, and Bluebonnet Blossom do best and in this story you get plenty of that and more! There's wonderful banter between all the characters, I found myself laughing out loud at some of the antics the Godmothers got up to. Each character is written into the story in such a way you end up rooting for everyone to win...even Melvin. They're wonderfully flawed...or cursed depending on how you look at it. ;)
The writing is immersive and lighthearted. Even the romance is written in a way that reflects reality...flawed and humorous at times (though I do hope no one has experienced being pelted with a giant cherry after a kiss...yaknow). I felt so easily drawn into Ever After. It was an incredibly fun escape and unlike traditional fairytales, nothing just fell conveniently into place for any of the characters. Lucky and Ransom had to work for their Happily Ever After and oh, what a fantastic HEA it was! I'm not crying, you're crying!
