Fairy Godmothers, Inc by Saranna DeWylde

★★ ★☆☆

This book was a contrast through back to when I watched Once Upon A Time. As expected, this book is a romance and there is romance since the first chapters of the book. It was a nicely paced read and was quite light. Felt almost like a Becky Albertalli book for adult audience.
The setting was quite unreal, but it’s all part of the magic on Ever After. As magic as the town some of the characters were also literally magical; the three godmothers portrayed perfectly the godmothers of the Sleeping Beauty tale. I have to admit that at first it was a little annoying how they all had personalities that didn’t match so well together, but with time they became lovable. As for the other main characters it is still hard to like them as much, mainly because they weren’t really relatable, at least not for me, and it was hard to care deeply about what they were struggling with.
As for the twists and turn, oh my, oh my, there were a lot and definitely not predictable at all, they were both entertaining and annoying, because even though I was surprised by them, some were unrealistic at all or felt exaggerated. But I can asure you you won’t predict half of what’s gonna happen next.
The plot was different than what I was expecting to read. This was a bit of a bummer, because I was really exited to read about romance and fairies, and what I ended of read was more of a character accepting herself while the world was crumbling all around.
Honestly I felt like this book could be a stand-alone but on the last chapter, the author added up a little something that suggested a sequel, I’m still not sure how that would turn out.
I would recommend this book to people that like light reads, romance, and funny moments, mainly for adult audiences but could be for young adults.
