This book made me laugh, made me cry and above all made me think. I really learned that I need to intentional in loving people. The people that are hard to love (ie. cranky, irritating, confrontational, passive aggressive... I could go on) are in desperate need of love as much as those that are easy to love. We all have people like that in our lives and we probably have all been one of those people at at least one time or another. The take away from this book - love others like you need or want to be loved.
I cannot recommend this book enough. I already have people lined up to borrow my copy. I say buy it and support this man's foundation. Not only does he love those around him, he pays it forward to other countries. He writes about all the different ways to love on people. Yes hugs are always welcome, but sometimes people need a shoulder to lean on. Sometimes people need a hot meal. So many ways to love and so little time!
