While I’m not a practing Christian and typically don’t choose books based on the teachings of Jesus, I enjoyed this sample and found the message of learning to love or at least try to understand those that rub us the wrong way as we do those who are kind and easy to love refreshing and timely. Perhaps my favorite quote cane in the preface. “It’s given me a lot of comfort knowing we are all rough drafts of the people we are becoming.” I’d like to read the rest which promises to teach strategies for letting go of judgement and embracing understanding and learning to look at things through the eyes of a child instead of a damaged and cynical adult.
