Every Last Fear was everything I had hoped it would be — thrilling, riveting, and entirely unpredictable. Thrillers are among my favorite genre to read, but because I read so many, I find the plots can sometimes be a bit redundant. Alex Finley most definitely satisfied my hunger for thrill with this suspenseful and gripping novel.

Brief synopsis: Matt Pine is a student at NYU when he finds out that his entire family has been found dead while they were vacationing in Mexico. Their cause of death is a possible gas leak. The story is told from multiple viewpoints: mostly that of Matt Pine, but also that of Sarah Keller, an FBI agent who suspects there may be more to this case than meets the eye. The remaining chapters bounce back in time and tell about the slain family members and the events that led up to the day of their deaths.

This is an absolutely brilliant and refreshing debut and I look forward to more from this author in the future.
