After really expecting to enjoy this, I'm slightly disappointed. This wasn't bad, it just wasn't a genre I read a lot, and the books have to be exceptional in order for me to enjoy them. I'm primarily a fantasy reader, so I need a fast plot and great twists to keep me entertained. Sadly, this book didn't provide those.

From the first few chapters, I had expected this to focus on Danny, and to get to the bottom of the case quicker. I really wanted more of Danny, he was a super interesting character. Instead, we got a lot of flashbacks, which were interesting, but the dual plot lines got kind of convoluted. They all came together at the end, but it was a bit too late for me.

Add that to the fact that the final reveal left me kind of confused. I'll definitely be rereading this, which will definitely help my understanding, but so much went down at the end, and it messed with my brain. The twists were good, there were just so many moving elements that were hard to keep track of.

If you're a fan of thrillers, I think you'll really enjoy this book, because it is well written, and the plot is interesting. I just was looking for a bit more action!
