This book was such a heartbreaking and suspenseful read. It really kept me on the edge of my seat. It pulled me in as soon as I opened it. This was my first mystery read in a long time and I forgot how much I love them. (I've been on a manga/anime binge.) I really truly enjoyed this one. I'm looking forward to the authors next book.

I really loved all the characters. They were all believable and relatable. Each chapter is a different POV from the characters in this story. You get the entire Pine family except Tommy and officer Keller. To be honest at first I thought it was gonna make it confusing and maybe too much to keep up with but it didnt. I thought it flowed very nicely and was done really well. The chapters are pretty short but the pace is pretty fast I guess. Before I knew it was like 40% into the story. I loved the big reveal of who the true killer was. The entire time I didnt have slightest clue who it could have been. Although once it was said I shouldn't have been so surprised about it though but here we are. I really couldn't get enough of this. I know I've already said this but I really loved this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for a copy of this book to read and review.
