I quite enjoyed this mystery, even though I feel like I predicted the culprit really early on. I liked the different timelines, it was really great to see the POV of the family's last few days, alongside what was occurring currently. This might have been better for me had I not listened to the audiobook because our main dude Matt had absolutely zero personality. Everyone else around him shone, but Matt was one of our key POVs and he was so boring. I understand that he was devastated by the sudden deaths of every member of his immediate family, but no emotions came through this reader for anything Matt was going through, not until the end. His father and sister though, they were the highlight of the story. Everything that went down was absolutely tragic, but as the clues dropped I had a lot of fun trying to figure out who could have done it and why. I predicted the culprit almost immediately upon meeting them in the story, though for different reasons than their actual motive. This was incredibly entertaining and I would definitely recommend to other mystery lovers.
