I was surprised at how much I enjoyed "Every Last Fear." It was fast-paced, extremely entertaining, and full of twists and turns. It's a rarity for me that I really consider a book a page-turner, but I couldn't put this down and sped through the whole book in only a day or two.

I didn't feel like there was a lot of depth to the large majority of the characters, but in a book like this I didn't particularly need it. The plot rather than the characters are what kept me going, though I would have liked to have seen more from the perspective of Danny (the character who was the subject of the Netflix documentary suggesting he was wrongly incarcerated).

There were a few lines that left a bad taste in my mouth. Mentions of a "Build the Wall" conservative, and using terms like "social justice warrior" and "special snowflake." I just wasn't sure who those lines were supposed to speak to and I found them distracting from the book in a way that stuck with me. Honestly, if I was the editor I would have cut them out or tweaked the language a bit. However, there weren't enough of these lines to really knock down my overall assessment of the book and none of them were presented in a way that

A warning: This book does jump back and forth in timeline and point of view. I know that isn't something that's for everybody, but I didn't mind it at all in this case.

Overall, this was a great read and if thrillers are your genre it doesn't disappoint.
