A murder mystery, not really thrilling

This is one of those stories where the "big" events are revealed in the first few pages, then explained little by little as the book progresses. Though it's an interesting mystery, it doesn't feel like a thriller to me. (Clearly I'm in the minority there, judging by the other reviews.) It's easy to pick out who is behind the madness, but law enforcement seems to be simultaneously baffled and closed to outside ideas. If you like books that track from the past into the present, this might be a good choice for you.

I wouldn't mind following Sarah Keller's FBI cases in future books. I liked the backstory of her family and the interaction between Sarah and her husband. It's nice to see a book that shows a healthy marriage (with the stay-at-home-dad thing, it's even politically correct.)

Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of Every Last Fear! Opinions shared are mine.
