The cover is attention-grabbing, and I immediately recognized that this book is a thriller. The synopsis is really intriguing, but the Prologue solidified my interest. It leaves you wondering what happened to the dad and why the local police would be hesitant to call this tragedy anything more than "freak accident," a family dying accidentally due to a gas leak. Clearly, something more sinister has occurred.
