I think my favorite part of this excerpt is simply the use of the trap room as a setting--I'm intrigued by the universality and cyclical backdrop it offers! Overall, I found the prose to be a little flowery, and I definitely think this is the sort of book where you have to really be willing to read that and engage with its premise to enjoy it. But for me, I think I can definitely get into it--the formatting is really unique and I think suits its subject matter of Shakespeare's heroines super well! I'm intrigued to see where this book goes.
