I have never seen a boon written like this. It is unique, and I like that a lot. However, I just never truly cared much about the characters. I have mixed feelings about the book. Part of me wants to read it, another part thinks it might be a bit much. I'm unsure about it. I will probably read it, but only if I could get it from the library or something. It isn't one I would go through the trouble to own it.
The cover also didn't fit the image the book painted. It seems too modern for the way the story is told. I was expecting something a bit different.
